No Classes Aug 4-17

Due to Ballet Lab's Axeman Lullaby production performing at the Chunky Move studios there will be no public dance classes August 4 - 17. However, we'll be back and running August 19 with all your favourites to keep you toasty in the final weeks winter.

Chunky Move Wins Helpmann Awards

The 2008 Live Performance Australia Helpmann Awards was a very successful night for Chunky Move with multiple awards. Congratulations to everyone involved in Mortal Engine and Glow.

Axeman Lullaby by Ballet Lab

Axeman lullaby is a exploration and reflection on the physical and climatic characteristics of Australian wood chopping and early Victorian bush settlements. Axeman Lullaby recreates a sense of Australian cinematic landscapes. In the 70’s Australian cinema produced a flood of films that captured a raw and experimental identity about suburban and indigenous myth. These films offered a serial and eerie portrayal about our past and unsettled future. 

Axeman Lullaby is a hypnotic state, shattered.
